A 32,500-square-foot residence on Indian Creek in Miami, conceived as the centerpiece of its site.
This project was ambitious in both scale and control. The home had to open generously to its gardens and the water, yet be able to close completely during the day, turning its rooms fully dark whenever the owners wanted.
The design answers with a shell that can shift from open pavilion to sealed volume, organized around a central interior garden and topped with planted roof terraces. The scheme was developed through renderings, floor plans and a series of study models at 1:200 and 1:50.
